NBPD Chaplains provide confidential support in several key areas of law enforcement and the community we serve:

• Officer/employee wellness and support

• Spiritual support

• Community-police engagement

These three broad areas include:

• Responding on-scene to assist officers with family/survivors at deceased person calls

• Acting as a Ministry of Presence at demonstrations and community strife

• Death notifications

• Officiating at marriage/funeral services for agency personnel

• Raising community awareness in the responsibilities of a LE Chaplain

• Build relationships with community hospital Chaplains and church Pastors in preparation for disaster response

• Conduct in-house ICPC Chaplains training and certification

• As a 501(c)(3), we raise funds through planning and participating in fund-raising events. The proceeds from those events finance the various programs and services we provide to our agency
